Renowned Evangelist Ebuka Obi has declared his full support for Governor Charles Soludo’s ongoing battle against ritualists and the growing menace of “Okeite” practices, which have become a serious concern among young people in the region.
Evangelist Obi, known for his strong stance against occult practices, revealed that his fight against these harmful traditions began over two years ago. He reaffirmed his commitment to working alongside the Anambra State government to curb the rising influence of ritualistic activities, which he believes are misleading many young people into seeking quick wealth through diabolical means.
According to him, the collaboration with Governor Soludo’s administration is a critical step toward restoring moral values and encouraging young people to embrace hard work, diligence, and legitimate sources of income. He emphasized that the increasing cases of ritual killings, cultism, and other dangerous practices linked to “Okeite” have caused devastating consequences for many families and communities.
The evangelist commended Governor Soludo for taking decisive action against these practices, describing the crackdown as long overdue. He urged religious leaders, parents, and community elders to join the movement by educating and sensitizing young people about the dangers of engaging in ritual-related activities.
Furthermore, he warned that anyone involved in ritualism, occultism, or deceptive spiritual practices would face the wrath of both the law and divine judgment. He encouraged youths to seek education, entrepreneurship, and skill acquisition as better alternatives to achieve success in life.
Evangelist Obi also called on security agencies to remain vigilant and ensure that individuals promoting or engaging in these illegal activities are brought to justice. He reassured the public of his continued efforts to fight against spiritual manipulations and deceptive doctrines misleading innocent people.
