In a grand inauguration ceremony held at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Asokoro, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Chidubem Ugwueze JP officially took the oath of office with other State Ambassadors as the 4th Republic Ambassador of Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Enugu State Chapter. The event attracted dignitaries from the FCT and various states across the federation.
In his inaugural address, Amb. Chidubem Ugwueze expressed heartfelt gratitude to God, his family, friends, and his mentor Hon. Ezenwata Nwangwu, the immediate past Ambassador/National Deputy Speaker and incumbent National Assistant Secretary of the Board of Trustees (BOT) YAN, for his unwavering support and guidance. He acknowledged Nwangwu’s contributions to the assembly and appreciates the honour of being handed over the mantle of leadership in the state.
Addressing the Enugu Youths and Nigerian Youths at large, Ambassador Ugwueze assured them of his commitment to working with diligence, passion, and determination, especially in these challenging times. He emphasized the need to revive the spirit of political sportsmanship and unity among the youth, encouraging them to actively participate in shaping Nigeria’s future.
The newly inaugurated Ambassador extended his congratulations to the New National Speaker, Hon. Nathaniel Famuyibo Oluwasegun, whom he described as a "Digital Speaker," and his Deputy on their successful inauguration. He expressed confidence in their leadership, believing that their vision and dedication would lead to positive transformations across the states.
Ambassador Ugwueze also acknowledged the efforts of the BOT and the National Leadership of the 3rd Republic under the leadership of Hon. Shaibu Sani, his Deputy Hon.Ezenwata Nwangwu and other Ambassadors of the 3rd Republic. He commended their tireless dedication in elevating the image of the Assembly, bringing it into national prominence.
In his closing remarks, the Ambassador urged the youth, especially those in Enugu, to awaken from political apathy and engage more actively and constructively in governance. He emphasized that the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) serves as a vital intermediary platform, providing opportunities for young people to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s economic and political landscape.
Additionally, he called upon well-meaning individuals to align their vision with YAN Enugu State Chapter, aiming to bring hope and progress to Ndi Enugu Youths.
He expressed appreciation to His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah, for his commitment to the youth inclusion in governance, as he anticipates more youth inclusion and developments in our dear state.
Amb. Chidubem Ugwueze's inauguration marks a significant milestone in youth leadership, reflecting his dedication, service, and commitment to advancing the interests of young people in Enugu State and beyond.
