BREAKING: Enugu Govt Issues Final Demolition Notice to Property Owners, Occupants of Marked Structures Along....



The Enugu State Government, through the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, has issued a final notice of demolition for structures along the Nike Lake Road and Enugu Airport Road Flyover Bridge corridors. Property owners, residents, and business operators in the affected areas are hereby informed that demolition will commence within 24 hours. This action follows earlier notifications and inspections for compensation purposes. All individuals are urged to remove their belongings and vacate the premises immediately to prevent loss or damage. For any concerns, please contact the Land/Property Reconciliation and Compensation Committee at the Government House Enugu.

FINAL NOTICE OF DEMOLITION

This is to inform the general public, particularly property owners, residents and business owners in the affected areas, that the Enugu State Government is commencing the demolition of marked structures along the 44.1km Nike Lake Road dualization Project (Peenox – Nowas - Ugwogo – Opi Nsukka dualization, Abakpa Nike – Opi Nsukka Junction) and also the marked structures along the 21.5km Enugu Airport Road Flyover Bridge – Eke Obinagu – Owo Junction – Amechi Idodo – Ebonyi State Border within 24 hours. 

It is important to note that this is a follow-up to our earlier notifications issued on October 30, 2024. Additionally, a field inspection and evaluation of structures for compensation purposes were conducted from November 4 to November 11, 2024.

You are hereby advised to remove all your belongings and vacate the premises with immediate effect to avoid damage and/or loss of life. 

Please direct all complaints to the Land/Property Reconciliation and Compensation Committee, Abuja Building, Government House Enugu.

Your prompt compliance is advised as this serves as the FINAL NOTICE."
