The good people of Ogugu Ntuegbenese Ancient Kingdom in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State have been urged to embrace unity and hard work as they step into the New Year.
The Igwe-elect of Ogugu Ntuegbenese Ancient Kingdom, Chief Aloysius Chidozie Ogbonna, made this appeal on Wednesday in his New Year message to the community.
He commended the people for their steadfast support and cooperation, noting that their collective efforts have been instrumental in the progress of the community. Chief Ogbonna expressed confidence that the New Year would bring greater accomplishments for Ogugu.
In his message, the Igwe-elect also lauded the leadership of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, highlighting the ongoing construction of Type 3 hospitals across Enugu State. He described the initiative as a groundbreaking project that prioritises the health and well-being of citizens, demonstrating the governor's vision for a healthier and better Enugu State.
"As a community, we are grateful for the remarkable strides of Governor Mbah’s administration. These Type 3 hospitals are a clear reflection of his commitment to equitable development, and we remain supportive of these transformative projects," he said.
Chief Ogbonna further encouraged the youth of Ogugu to seize opportunities in the New Year, engage in meaningful ventures, and contribute actively to the development of the community. He assured the people of his unwavering commitment to the service of the kingdom, pledging to uphold traditions, promote fairness, and ensure inclusivity for all.
"The unity and strength of our community remain vital as we harness the opportunities of the New Year for collective growth. Let us approach the year with hope, determination, and a shared sense of purpose," he added.
The Igwe-elect also wished the people of Ogugu, Awgu LGA, and Enugu State peace, prosperity, and blessings in the New Year, expressing optimism about achieving greater success in the months ahead.
