The Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Council and ALGON Chairman of Enugu State, Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh, has expressed his excitement and heartfelt congratulations to the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah, on his latest honour, "Doctor of Laws (Honoris Causa) degree" by the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).
In his congratulatory message on Monday, Hon. Edeh expressed immense pride on behalf of the people of Nkanu East Local Government Area, calling the award a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Mbah's exceptional contributions to governance and development.
"On behalf of the good people of Nkanu East, I want to felicitate with you, our brother and leader, on this momentous occasion of the award of Doctor of Laws (Honoris Causa) to you by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka," Hon. Edeh stated.
The ALGON Chairman highlighted that the award was not surprising given Dr. Mbah’s outstanding achievements both in the private sector and in public service. "You excelled in the private sector, and today, you continue to carve a niche for yourself in the art of governance, to the joy of Ndi Enugu," Edeh remarked.
He further expressed the unwavering support of Nkanu East for Dr. Mbah’s leadership, offering prayers for continued success. "The people of Nkanu East are solidly behind you, and we pray that God continues to guide you on the path of excellence."
