Human rights lawyer Dele Farotimi has been granted bail in the sum of ₦30 million by a Magistrate Court in Ekiti State. Farotimi, who had been held at a correctional facility in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, was brought to the court premises at around 9:45 am on Friday.
Accompanied by a police escort, Farotimi was transported to the court in a prison van. As he exited the vehicle, he was seen raising his hands in gratitude to a cheering crowd that had gathered outside the courthouse.
