The Executive Chairman  of Ezeagu Local Government, Dr. Vitalis Ndu, has taken another decisive step in his mission to transform the Council's infrastructure by extending the on-going  rehabilitation projects  to other Communities, Okpogho, with a connection through Amankwo Ndiagu-Ihuonyia Road. This new phase aims to further enhance the ease of transportation, alleviate the suffering of road users, and boost economic activities across the Communities.

Speaking during the flag-off, Dr. Ndu reiterated his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises of addressing critical infrastructural challenges in Ezeagu. He noted that the extension of the road rehabilitation aligns with his administration’s vision of creating accessible and safe roads that empower local farmers, traders, and residents for sustainable economic growth.

“This project is not just about fixing roads; it is about connecting lives, improving economic opportunities, and ensuring the safety of our people. We are determined to make Ezeagu a model of development, and this road rehabilitation is a testament to that vision,” Dr. Ndu stated.

Dr Igboeme who inspired the project, thanked the chairman for keeping to his campaign promises, and assured Ndi Amankwo that the best from the administration is yet to come.
Hon. Godspower Chimereeze, the SA on Agriculture, expressed profound gratitude on behalf of Okpogho community. He commended Dr. Vita Ndu for his visionary leadership, describing the road project as a game-changer for local farmers and residents.

“This rehabilitation effort is a blessing to Ndi Okpogho. Our farmers can now transport their produce with ease, and the cost of moving goods to markets will significantly reduce. Dr. Ndu has shown that he is a leader who listens and acts, and we deeply appreciate his efforts,” Hon. Chimereeze remarked.

Community members also shared their excitement and relief, highlighting how the dilapidated roads had hindered access to many opportunities.

The spur to Amankwo Ndiagu Road is expected to reduce travel time, and improve connectivity between the neighbouring Communities. The project, once completed, will not only revitalize the local economy but also reduce the risk of accidents and criminal activities that were prevalent due to the poor condition of the roads.

Dr. Vita Ndu assured the gathering of jubilant community members that his administration remains committed to prioritizing developmental projects that have direct impact on the lives of the people. He urged them to continue to support the  government of Dr Peter Mbah and his efforts by fostering unity and monitoring the progress of on-going projects in their areas.

The rehabilitation of the Okpogho and Amankwo Ndiagu roads is seen as yet another significant milestone in Dr. Ndu’s administration, solidifying his reputation as a leader who matches words with action and champions the needs of his constituents.
