The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman Enugu State Chief Martin Chukwunwike on Friday 20th December 2024 officially inaugurated the party’s local government executives and ward executives across Nkanu East LGA.
The inauguration ceremony, held at Council headquarters, Amagunze was overseen by the Legal Adviser of the state PDP, Barr. Fidel Odo who administered the oath of allegiance to the newly executives. Dr. Chukwunwike urged the executives to begin reconciliation talks with aggrieved members age fee. He emphasized that they should not use their positions to intimidate anyone, but rather to foster unity within the party. He said that they must at all time be good Ambässadors of the party and the state at large. "We must emulate His Excellency Barr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah whose performance is strengthening the state’s economy had made the work of the party executives easier, he said ". He further applauded Nkanu East LGA chairman and ALGON Chairman Enugu State, Hon Sydney Okechukwu Edeh on his giant strides in security, infrastructure and maintaining peaceful and cordial relationship with the stakeholders of the party which he said has brought back those that left the party back.
He expressed joy over those that returned back to the party, encouraging members to treat these returnees with fairness and unity.
The chairman of Nkanu East LGA, Hon Sydney Okechukwu, while welcoming the August visitors, extolled the state chairman whom he described as perfect gentleman and promised to continue emulate the leadership style of his Excellency the governor.
The state chairman of PDP was accompanied by Hon steve Oruruo deputy state chairman, Hon Chukwudi Nnadozie, Secretary of PDP in Enugu State, Hon Peace Patrick state woman leader , Hon patrick Okoh state Treasurer, Hon Nnamdi Nwafor, zonal chairman of PDP in Enugu East senatorial district, among other state principal officers.
In acceptance speech the newly inaugurated Nkanu East LGA PDP chairman Hon Cornelius Edeh, thanked the stake officials and Nkanu East council chairman for their efforts towards the success of the event and promised to run all inclusive administration.
Highlight of the occasion was announcement of tricycle donation from Hon Nnolim Nnaji member representing Nkanu East/west at the federal house of reps.
Prominent party stakeholders in attendance from Nkanu East includes Hon Paul Okwor deputy chairman Nkanu East LGA, leader of Nkanu East legislative Council Hon Ikechukwu Ani, Rev Felix Okoye, Secretary Nkanu East council among others.
