State government has announced the dissolution of all commissions within the Edo state public service, effective immediately. This decision was conveyed in a statement issued by Umar Musa, the Secretary to the State Government. Among the commissions affected are the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission, the Civil Service Commission, and the House of Assembly Commission, among others.
The statement further advised all chairmen and members of these commissions to hand over all government properties in their possession to the most senior public officer in their respective commissions.
