It is crystal clear to even the blind that Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the executive Governor of Enugu State meant business and he is committed to taking the state to its promised land where socio-economic cum human developments will delivered to Ndi Enugu.I am not surprised at this unprecedented level of developments that his administration has recorded so far in just one year and few months in office because I know he has the capacity, credibility and the technical know-how to hit the ground running as our Governor.
His vision for a new Enugu was clearly captured in his manifesto as he took time to discuss in details his plans for the good people of Enugu State . And among all the candidates vying for the plum job in the Lion Building during the 2023 guber election , Dr Mbah was the only candidate with manifesto , a development that reminded all and sundry of his preparedness for the task ahead .
As soon as he assumed office, he did not hesitate to reaffirm his unparalleled commitment to the development of the state by taking bold, commendable actions as restoring the state to its original position as one of the peaceful states in the federation.
Dr Mbah , a refined,cosmopolitan , dedicated leader understands perfectly that no meaningful development will take place in a state where insecurity pervades.
He rejigged the security architecture of the state by introducing Distress Respond Squad(DRS) and donated patrol vehicles and provided all the needed supports to the operatives of DRS to help them in performing optimally .This initiative clearly captures his administration 's zero tolerance for criminal activities and resolve to get the state secured .
Just a few days ago,a crack team of security personnel in the state neutralized four gunmen and successfully recoverd dangerous weapons from them.
Prior to this development , hideouts of kidnappers and other criminal elements have been raided by Enugu security operatives, with such hideouts clearly destroyed and the suspects arrested .These success stories are testaments of Dr Peter Mbah-led administration painstaking , audacious efforts aimed at giving potential investors in the state assurances that the state is peaceful and that their investments are secured .
Aside security ,Dr Mbah has worked harder to give the state a facelift via ultra-modern road constructions and reconstructions in the state.As part of activities marking his productive one year in office , the seasoned leader commissioned 71 urban roads and promised Ndi Enugu that he will construct 10km road across the 260 wards in the state.
In other sectors especially in education, Dr Mbah has displayed true leadership by placing huge premium on education in the 2024 Budget which he submitted to the state Assembly for approval.His Excellency, believes firmly that giving Ndi Enugu better, quality , affordable education will help enormously in securing a bright future for our people.
He has started building Smart schools which will offer quality education to Ndi Enugu in all the 260 wards in the state. It should be noted that any leader that invests heavily in education has the interests of his people at heart . Dr Mbah is that leader and Ndi Enugu are truly fortunate to have him as our Governor.
Ndi Enugu are indeed proud of his accomplishments so far in office and are praying fervently for him to keep walking the talk. Indeed, a promising tomorrow is here for good.
