BREAKING: Enugu to Host Nigeria Startup Act Domestication Workshop, Stakeholders Invited to Shape Local Startup Bill

The Enugu State Government is set to host a critical workshop aimed at gathering stakeholder feedback to localize the Nigeria Startup Act (NSA) for the state. The workshop, focused on shaping the Enugu Startup Bill, will take place on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Oakland Hotel in Enugu. The session is geared toward ensuring that the state's unique economic and social nuances are reflected in the bill, which is key to fostering a thriving startup ecosystem in Enugu.


Scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM prompt, the workshop will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and key players in sectors such as AgTech, health innovation, clean energy, and the creative economy. These sectors have been identified as having high potential for growth in the state, and the feedback gathered during the session will be instrumental in tailoring the startup bill to better support local opportunities and challenges.


The event is being organized by the Enugu SME Center in collaboration with the Office for the Development of the Digital Economy (ONDI) and the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). These institutions are working together to ensure that the local startup ecosystem in Enugu aligns with national goals while promoting state-specific growth and innovation.
