It improves access to basic services…” This observation captures the essence of this analysis, focusing on the efforts of the capable and industrious Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. In line with his Our Tomorrow is Here vision, he has awarded the construction of the Ugwuogo Nike-Opi Nsukka Road, fulfilling his commitment to comprehensive infrastructure development in the state.
Ancient Rome became powerful in their civilization because of good road networks which literally connects the Four-cardinal-points of the world thereby enhancing their trade as there are pliable routes, this gave them comparative advantage over other rising civilization in that contemporary. It didn't end there, it enhanced their communication and administrative efficiency.
One of Rome's great road led to the famous " Appian way". This portrays the importance of good road networks as an important piece of infrastructure.
Dualization of Opi-Nsukka road can as well lead to; "all roads lead to Enugu" like that of Rome.
The dualisation of the Opi Nsukka Road is a significant infrastructure project designed to improve transportation efficiency, boost economic activity, and support overall development within the Nsukka region. The project will convert the current single-lane road into a dual carriageway, capable of accommodating higher traffic volumes and enhancing road safety.
