The Paramount Traditional Rulers Council of Nsukka, under the leadership of His Royal Majesty, Igwe Tony Ndidiamaka Ezenma, has heartily congratulated the Executive Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area, Engr. Chinedu Asogwa, on his victory at the polls. During their meeting held on 11th October 2024 at Obu Nsukka, the royal fathers reiterated their fatherly blessings and support for his administration, while urging him to focus on developmental and transformative agendas to serve the good people of Nsukka.
In their message, the monarchs emphasized their confidence in Engr. Asogwa’s leadership abilities and called on him to lead with vision, inclusiveness, and integrity. They acknowledged that his tenure would be instrumental in driving significant growth and progress for the Nsukka people. The royal fathers expressed their commitment to continuously support his government, affirming that his success is vital for the community's advancement.
The council also took the opportunity to appreciate His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, for his transformative, disruptive, and innovative strides in the state. They highlighted Governor Mbah's contributions towards creating a better Enugu State, noting that his leadership has laid the groundwork for sustainable development.
During the session, the royal fathers offered special prayers for Engr. Asogwa and his deputy, invoking blessings of wisdom and protection for their tenure. They also prayed for unity, peace, and good governance in Nsukka and across Enugu State.
In response, Mayor Engr. Chinedu Asogwa warmly acknowledged the support and blessings of the royal fathers. He assured them of his dedication to working in the interest of all Nsukka residents, emphasizing that their unity and collaboration would lead to greater achievements for the local government.
"Together, we can do it," the mayor affirmed, as he thanked the traditional rulers for their encouragement and pledged to prioritize development, community welfare, and good governance in his administration.
