As part of preparations for its upcoming inauguration, scheduled for November 2, 2024, the newly elected leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Committee (JCC) Enugu, paid a courtesy visit to the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, on October 24, 2024.
The visit comes ahead of the highly anticipated event where Comrade Cajetan Ali, the newly elected Chairman of NANS JCC Enugu, and his team will be officially inaugurated at the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC). The inauguration will herald a fresh era of student leadership with a vision focused on Rebuilding the Future: A Multi-Stakeholder Summit on Securing a Sustainable Tomorrow.
During the visit, the Acting Rector of IMT, Enugu, warmly welcomed the NANS delegation and congratulated the new leadership on their election. He expressed his admiration for the incoming executives, particularly commending Comrade Ali for his outstanding leadership skills and proactive engagement with the student body. The Rector further pledged IMT's unwavering support for the new NANS leadership and assured them of his institution's commitment to strengthening ties with the student community.
In his remarks, the Acting Rector emphasized the importance of robust leadership in ensuring that the needs and aspirations of students are adequately represented.
