The Nigerian Legion Enugu State Command is to embark on restructuring and reform of its Corps of Commissionairs body in Enugu State.
This was revealed and made public by the State Chairman and Commandant, Emeka Norman Igwesi, during his address after a visit to the General Officer Commanding, 82 Division Nigerian Army, Enugu, Maj. Gen. H.T Dada at the 82 Division Complex, Enugu.
The reform came at the wake in which the military ex-servicemen body is undergoing reform and reorganization in many areas ranging from a Veteran Federation of Nigerian project, Military Pensions issues and its Corps of Commissionairs. He advised all members of the COC in Enugu State to support the State Council, National Council and the National Chairman in their efforts towards the transmutation of the body to energize the Fallen and Living Heroes project.
The State Command has released information regarding her planned reorganization/ re-form exercise of the Corps of Commissionaires, COC, in Enugu State.
According to a statement by the Enugu State Chairman of the Nigerian Legion, Dr. Barr. Emeka Igwesi, "The re-organization and re-form is to address the issues of redundant and dead-membership, impersonations, budding, outnumber and illegal recruitments, hence the need for overhauling, ascertaining and down-sizing membership in the State to an acceptable and identifiable number.
"Take Notice that the reorganization and reform exercise is to come up with the clear names and particulars of persons still members of the COC in Enugu State. This data will be used for all purposes, for valid and new Identity Card, and any other incidentals of COC in Enugu State", Igwesi stated.
The state chairman who spoke to our correspondence reporters in Enugu stressed that any person not published in the nominal roll after the reform exercise ceases to be a member of COC in Enugu State. He advised all members of the COC in the state to participate in the reform exercise as stated in the press release below.

Authentic Service ID card (Even if expired) (If any).
Any other documents from Nigerian Legion.
Originals and photocopies of all Credentials.
Parade support, not less #2,000.

All Area Cmdrs, Honorary, and Diaspora Cmdrs, must ensure and organize all personnel to attend.
