Credit for the Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu's Phenomenon in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area as the Chairmanship Candidate must be given to the Hand of God. The day was 25th May, 1978 when the Almighty God gave him to the legendary Omaba Idu family as the fourth son.
The young Chijioke blazed through the famous St. Theresa's College (STC), Nsukka, Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Faculty of Law and the Nigeria Law School, Abuja, emerging as a lawyer. He was called to the Bar in 2007.
In 1999, Chijioke was elected PDP Youth Leader, Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area. In 2010, he was elected Secretary General of Nkpologu Town Union, shortly in 2011-2013, he served as the Councillor Representing Nkpologu Ward in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Legislative Council, distinguishing himself so much in that capacity that he was elevated to the position of the President of Customary Court, Nkpologu in 2013-2015,
In 2017, he was elected Chairman Ejona-Nkpologu General Assembly, he was also appointed two term Supervisor in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area 2022-2023.
He so fulfilled in that position that, again through the Hand of God, he emerged as the People's Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer for Uzo-Uwani Local Government Chairmanship Elections.
The coast is now clearer for the Hand of God to use Barr. Chijioke Joseph Ezugwu to work miraculous in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area for all of us.
