Chief Chinedu Mba Led PTA FGC Enugu Exco Inaugurates 7-Man Standing Committees for School Development and Collaboration

 


The Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of Federal Government College (FGC), Enugu, today inaugurated a new seven-member standing committee. The Chairman, Hon. Dr. Chinedu Mba, urged the committee to be committed and efficient in carrying out their duties. He emphasized that the committee would work towards fostering collaboration between parents and the school management. He then called upon the PTA Secretary, Mrs. Amu-nnadi Dorathy Uzoma, to read out the terms of reference for the various committees.


The newly inaugurated committees are as follows:


Welfare Committee: Led by Hon. Okey J.S Nwatu

Security Committee: Led by Hon. Fidelis Agbowo

Discipline Committee: Led by Evangelist Timothy Nwanekpe

Finance/Fund Raising Committee: Led by Hon. Gabriel Sunday Okeke

Works/Infrastructure Committee: Led by Hon. Sam Chima

This inauguration serves several key purposes:


Formal Opening: It marks the official commencement of the committee's term.


Symbolic Start: The event represents a fresh start, symbolizing new beginnings and the readiness of the PTA, teachers, and school community to embark on new educational endeavors.


Boosting Morale: It aims to boost the morale of the PTA while creating a sense of unity and fostering school spirit.


Acknowledgment of Contributions: The committee's inauguration provides an opportunity to acknowledge the hard work and contributions of those involved in the development of the institution.


On behalf of those inaugurated, Hon. Okey S.J Nwatu, Chairman of the Welfare Committee, expressed gratitude to the PTA Executive for finding them worthy to serve. He assured them of their commitment to the task and noted that this is the first of its kind in FGC Enugu, promising to make the Executive proud. The ceremony concluded with a group photograph.
