Enugu State Governor, His Excellency Barr Peter Mbah, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to revitalizing the state's parks, aiming to restore their allure and position Enugu as a prime destination for business, investment, tourism, leisure, and living. During a tour over the weekend, Governor Mbah visited several key parks, including Nnaji Park in New Haven, Ejindu Park in Coal Camp, as well as Ngwo Park and Eze Park in Uwani.
“These parks served not only as breeding grounds for sporting talents, they also served as melting pots where Enugu residents mingle with Ndi Ogbe,” stated Governor Mbah. He emphasized the significance of these spaces in the community and his administration's plans to rejuvenate them.
“We plan to revitalize and bring back the allure of the parks once again, as we work to reposition 042 as the choice destination for business, investment, tourism, leisure, and living,” he added, referencing Enugu’s popular nickname. Governor Mbah also highlighted the importance of recreational spaces, concluding with the adage, "After all, all work without play makes Jack a dull boy."
This is a part of Gov Peter Mbah's broader strategy to enhance the quality of life in Enugu and attract more visitors and investors to the state.
