Enugu Celebrates Nigerian Champions, Rangers Int’l FC


Enugu witnessed a historic moment today, as Rangers International FC, the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, returned home triumphantly with the NPFL Cup. The jubilant celebration saw sports enthusiasts and advocates of good governance converge on Okpara Square to honor this significant achievement.


The victory is widely attributed to the dynamic leadership of  Enugu State Governor, His Excellency Barr Peter Mbah, whose administration's resilient and innovative spirit has been a catalyst for this success. Gov Mbah has been vocal about his administration’s commitment to sports, famously declaring, “It’s either victory or nothing.” His unwavering support and substantial investments in the sports sector have played a pivotal role in Rangers’ resurgence.


Gov. Mbah’s dedication to the club was evident as he facilitated Rangers’ return to play at their historic ground, the Cathedral, after several years of being away. This move has been celebrated by fans and players alike, as it rekindles the team’s deep-rooted connection with their home state.
