The Concerned People of Enugu State, a non-partisan grassroots organization, emphasized the critical importance of positive engagement for the success of His Excellency Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah's government. Led by Chairman/Convener Mr. Peter Ezih, the organization underscored the necessity of continuous dialogue with the grassroots and citizens.
In a resolution following their Executive meeting on Monday, April 15th, 2024, at the Grand Signature Hotel, Enugu, they commended Governor Mbah for his efforts thus far and urged him to stay committed to fulfilling his promises of good governance made during the 2023 election campaigns, while expressing concern over unproductive criticism from certain politicians and urged the Governor's supporters to temper their praise to avoid complacency.

HIS EXCELLENCY BARR. PETER NDUBUISI MBAH'S GOVERNMENT CAN ONLY SUCCEED THROUGH POSITIVE ENGAGEMENT - CONCERNED PEOPLE OF ENUGU STATE.
The Concerned People of Enugu State, A non-Partizan and grassroots oriented civil society organisation of Enugu State origin through their Chairman/Convener, Mr. Peter Ezih, have made it known that the only way the government of His Excellency, Barr Dr. Peter Mbah's government will succeed is through constant positive engagement with the grassroots and regular citizens of Enugu state. This was resolved during their Executive meeting on Monday 15th April 2024, at Grand Signature Hotel, Enugu.
The organisation commended His Excellency Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Governor, Enugu State, on the wonderful job he has done so far in Enugu State and also urged him not to relent as he works to fulfill all that he promised good governance hungry Ndi-Enugu in his manifesto, during the 2023 governorship elections campaigns.
The organisation have also noticed with deep concern, the spate of unprofitable, malicious and destructive criticism which some self serving politicians and their foot soldiers have constantly unleashed at the government, not minding how spurious, injurious and demoralising those may be to the development and social well-being of the state.
At the same time, the Chairman urged the Governor's praise singers to whittle down their political trumpets and not hype the governor to a frenzy of no return, making the governor develope a false sense of achievement that will deprive Ndi-Enugu of the God ordained dividends of democracy due them through this administration. He went on to inform that the best way to get the government to be alive to its responsibility is only through constructive engagement, and not through self serving wicked propaganda or undeserved praise singing.
Furthermore, according to him, the association having dispassionately and critically examined activities of His Excellency's commissioners, head of ministries and agencies over the past nine to ten months, hereby wish to bring to the notice of His Excellency, the noticed negligence, laxity and in some cases, outright incompetence exhibited by some of the said commissioners and heads of ministries and agencies in the exercise of their assigned duties. We urge His Excellency to urgently caution and call them to order, as this, otherwise, may prove to be detrimental to his vision of moving Enugu from a 4.4 Billion to 40 a Billion dollars economy.
The association wishes the governor and all the state's functionaries well in their bid to elevate Enugu to an enviable height in committee of states in Nigeria.
