Enugu State Governor, His Excellency, Barr Peter Mbah, paid a courtesy visit to his predecessor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024. The visit was to mark the former Governor's 60th birthday anniversary.
Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, accompanied by a delegation, arrived at the residence of Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in Enugu to extend warm wishes and felicitations on the auspicious occasion. The atmosphere was filled with joy as the two leaders shared moments of reminiscence and celebration.
The visit not only symbolized the bond of friendship and unity among political leaders but also showcased the spirit of mutual respect and solidarity within the Enugu State political landscape. During the visit, Gov. Peter eter Mbah congratulated former governor of the state, Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, on his 60th birthday anniversary, commending his service to humanity and role in the development of the state.
Mbah said Ugwuanyi at 60 Ugwuanyi had earned a place in club of illustrious statesmen and also worked tirelessly for peace and justice in Enugu State.
The governor stated these in his birthday message to Ugwuanyi on the latter’s diamond jubilee on Wednesday.
He said: "As you celebrate the Diamond Age, I offer my warmest felicitations to you on behalf of the Government and people of Enugu State.
"At 60, you have clearly distinguished yourself as an eminent member of the illustrious club of statesmen.
"You have also acquitted yourself very creditably in our state's journey to greatness and in selfless service to humanity.
"Your remarkable work ethics, unassuming dispositions, and tireless commitment to peace, justice, and a better life for Ndi Enugu will always remain inspirational and perpetually engraved in the sands of time.
"Therefore, on your special day, I celebrate your service to Ndi Enugu and humanity and pray God to grant you long life, good health, and the grace to continue on the path of excellence."
Indeed, the visit by Governor Peter Mbah to celebrate Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's 60th birthday will be remembered as a touching moment of goodwill in the annals of Enugu State's political history.
