A CALL TO JOIN ORGANIC FARMING
In a bid to promote sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices, Organic Solutions Agro Multi Purpose Cooperative has issued a resounding call to farmers across Enugu State to embrace organic farming methods. With a membership base spanning every town in the state, the cooperative covers all facets of the agricultural value chain.
The primary objective of the cooperative is to advocate for the cultivation of crops, animals, and livestock without the use of artificial feed, fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. Organic farming, also referred to as organic agriculture, champions natural processes and eco-friendly alternatives over chemical inputs.
"We urge farmers to join us in this noble cause," emphasized Giovanni Madubuaku C., Vice President of Organic Solutions Agro Multi Purpose Cooperative. "By becoming a member, farmers stand to benefit in numerous ways."
Membership advantages include the cultivation of high-quality, export-worthy produce, significant cost savings in farming operations, production of healthy food and livestock, and contributing to environmental conservation efforts.
In addition to these benefits, members receive free training on the production of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and animal feeds. The cooperative also offers funding support, advisory solutions, and facilitates instant connections to buyers, off-takers, and partners in the agricultural sector.
To be eligible for membership, farmers must be verified and commit to practicing 100% organic agriculture. Monthly training meetings and other activities are organized to support members in their journey towards sustainable farming practices.
