Enugu State Women Unite in Spiritual Harmony, As First Lady's Prayer Rally Ignites Hope for a Blessed 2024


The Enugu State Women Prayer Network concluded January 2024 edition of it's Monthly Prayer Rally tagged; "New Year Festival of Praise" at Okpara Square, Enugu, on Tuesday, drawing women from diverse backgrounds in a collective spiritual gathering. 

Hosted by the Office of the First Lady, Enugu State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, the event aimed to usher in the new year with prayers for the success of the government, security in the land, unity among women, and empowerment initiatives.

The prayer rally commenced at 9 am, featuring an assembly of women ministers, chairpersons, and women from the 17 local government areas. Notable attendees included women politicians across political parties, wives of political office holders, as well as wives of traditional rulers and town union presidents, teachers, and market women.

The speakers emphasized the significance of collective prayer, urging women from various sectors to unite while dedicating the year 2024 to God Almighty. The atmosphere resonated with spirituality as participants fervently prayed for the prosperity and harmony of Enugu State in the coming years.

In his brief but impactful message, the keynote Speaker, Pastor Kenneth Uzoigwe in his sermon
emphasized on the importance of unity, love, and prayer in fostering positive change within the community. He commended the efforts of Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah and the Enugu State Women Prayer Network in leading a platform for collective spirituality and commitment to the welfare and progress of the state.

Among the dignitaries and spiritual leaders that graced the event were the Enugu State Commissioner for Children, Gender Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Mrs Ngozi Enih, the Wife of the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Mrs Florence Edeh, the Coordinator, Enugu State Women Prayer Network, Evangelist Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi mni, the Assistant Coordinator, Enugu State Women Prayer Network, Pastor John Ogbodo, the Wife of the Bishop of Methodist Church, Chairpersons from Udi, Udenu, Igbo-Eze South LGAs, and Other revered women who joined in dedicating Enugu State to God.

The January edition of the monthly prayer rally, an extension of Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah's commitment to unity and spiritual backing of the affairs of the state, served as a powerful expression of collective spirituality and dedication to the betterment of Enugu State. The event's success highlighted the unity and strength found in the diverse women of Enugu State, coming together for a prosperous and harmonious year ahead.
