In a continuous commitment to accessible healthcare, Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, founded by former Enugu State Governor Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, conducted a life changing medical outreach in Igbo-Eze South LGA, yesterday, Saturday, January 20th, where a mammoth crowd gathered at Ovoko Health Centre to receive treatment.
The Igwe of Ejuona Ovoko Autonomous Community, HRH. Igwe Joseph Arua graced the event and commended the efforts of the past Governor of the state. In his statement to our on ground correspondent, he praised Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's unwavering efforts in prioritizing the health of Enugu State citizens.
The outreach had over 120 community members with different health needs who came out to benefit from the medical intervention from an array of qualified medical professionals who addressed a spectrum of medical conditions, ranging from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension to Epilepsy, Typhoid fever, Malaria, Urinary tract infection, Tinea Capitis, Eczema, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Peptic ulcer disease, Scabies, and more.
Patients received expert care right within the comfort of their community, a testament to the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme's commitment to healthcare accessibility.
Dr. George Ajogwu, Director of the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the newsmen, conveying immense appreciation for the resounding success of the medical outreach in Ovoko.
