The Supreme Court, in a Friday ruling, decisively dismissed the appeal filed by Labour Party candidate Chijoke Edeoga, who sought to nullify Governor Mbah's election. Both the tribunal and the Court of Appeal had previously upheld the Independent National Electoral Commission's declaration of Mbah as the winner of the March 18th Governorship poll.
It's worth noting that on November 10th, the Court of Appeal in Lagos had already upheld Governor Peter Mbah's election, dismissing all three issues raised by the opposing party in a unanimous decision. This final affirmation by the Supreme Court solidifies Gov. Mbah's mandate and paves the way for a focused and uninterrupted leadership in Enugu State.
