Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the former Governor of Enugu State, has donated 1 million Naira to facilitate the life-saving neurosurgery for Ezema Chidubem from Edem. Chidubem had suffered severe injuries in a tragic motorcycle accident and was urgently referred to undergo neurosurgery after a CT SCAN revealed the extent of damage to his skull.
The incident occurred on Friday night when Chidubem was hit by a commercial motorcycle rider named Ugwuanyi Christopher. With symptoms including severe bleeding from the nose and swelling on the head, he was rushed to Chief Julius Ajogwu Memorial Hospital. The following day, a CT SCAN indicated the necessity for neurosurgery, prompting the referral to Enugu.
Financial constraints initially hindered Chidubem's journey to Enugu for the critical procedure, fountaincare disclosed. However, the Director of the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, Dr. George Ajogwu, sought assistance from Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who promptly responded by donating 1 million Naira. This generous contribution aims to cover medical expenses and ensure a smooth transition for Chidubem to access the required neurosurgical intervention.
Rt. Hon. Ugwuanyi not only extended financial support but also pledged ongoing assistance to guarantee Chidubem's comprehensive recovery. Fountaincare reported that George Ajogwu expressed gratitude for the former Governor's unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes, emphasizing that these efforts stem from his deep love for the people of Enugu and humanity at large.
The Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, founded by Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, continues to stand as a beacon of hope, saving lives and earning admiration for its dedication to alleviating the healthcare challenges faced by the people of Enugu State. The former Governor's philanthropic endeavors align with his commitment to supporting the current administration under the leadership of His Excellency, Gov. Peter Mbah, and Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Barr Ifeanyi Ossai.
