Governor Peter Mbah, now cleared of legal hurdles, can fully concentrate on his responsibilities as the leader of Enugu State, secure in the legitimacy of his position as reaffirmed by the tribunal's ruling.
The tribunal, chaired by Justice Kudirat Murayo Akano, delivered its verdict, bringing an end to a protracted legal battle that questioned the authenticity of Governor Peter Mbah's National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate. The tribunal's decision was a significant relief for Governor Mbah, who had faced allegations of not submitting his NYSC certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in aid of his qualification to contest for the governor's office.
