Enugu State Ministry of Culture And Tourism Explores Hidden Treasures In the State

In an adventurous expedition by the Enugu State Ministry of Tourism, spearheaded by Dame Ugochi Madueke, the Commissioner For Culture And Tourism, accompanied by the esteemed Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area, Hon. Solomon Onah (Jack Solo), aimed at excavating the hidden treasures of Ezimo Water Fall, Ezimo community is set to witness transformative development to attract investors, tourists and generate revenue for the state.

This awe-inspiring location, the Ezimo Waterfall, situated in the heart of the charming Ezimo Community, has left the delegation astounded by the unparalleled natural wonders that have the potential to revolutionize Enugu State's tourism industry, promising to yield millions of dollars if appropriately developed.

During their excursion to the picturesque Ezimo Waterfall, the delegation marveled at the breathtaking beauty that unfolded before them. The cascading waters, lush greenery, and pristine surroundings of Ezimo Waterfall showcased the awe-inspiring essence of Mother Nature known as the tallest waterfall in Enugu State. Ezimo Water Fall remains a marvel of nature as it descends dramatically from a surface coal escarpment that towers over 200 feet, plunging into a base of coarse sand and then flowing through a meandering path of rocky terrain before reaching Nkakwu stream to a point that the abundant water creates a picturesque sandy beach.

In his response to news reporters, Hon. Solomon Onah, the mayor of Udenu, the host local government, conveyed the council's eagerness to collaborate with the state government in enhancing the development of Ezimo Waterfall. He also praised the Commissioner For Culture And Tourism, Dame Ugochi Madueke, whom he referred to as a good friend, for her commendable initiative and dedication to uncovering Enugu's hidden gems.

Recognizing the immense potential this site holds, Dame Ugochi Madueke, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Enugu State, made a commitment on behalf of the state government. She pledged to ensure the construction of an accessible road leading to the Ezimo Waterfall and assured the good people of Ezimo of government interventions that will transform this natural wonder into a prominent tourist attraction, thereby harnessing its full economic potential.
