In a move aimed at safeguarding the rights and well-being of children in Enugu State, the Ministry of Children, Gender Affairs, and Social Development, has issued a resounding call to action. 

In a recent public service announcement, Enugu State unequivocally condemned child labor and sent a clear message to parents and guardians across the state: children must not be allowed on the streets during school hours. This proactive step underscores the ministry's unwavering commitment to ensuring that every child within its jurisdiction is afforded their fundamental human right to education and proper care.

According to the Commissioner for Children, Gender Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Mrs Ngozi Enih, the message resonates deeply with the principles of child protection and underscores the pivotal role parents and guardians play in nurturing the future of Enugu State.
