Amidst an atmosphere heavy with grief, the remains of Late Justice C.C Nweze were welcomed by a somber gathering at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu. The Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, stood alongside family members, fellow Justices, lawyers, and numerous well-wishers as they paid their respects. The palpable sorrow was evident as tears flowed freely, reflecting the profound impact that Justice Nweze had on the lives he touched. Following the reception, the body was reverently transported to the Eastern Medical Center in Enugu.
