Enugu State's freshly appointed Commissioner for Children, Gender Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Ngozi Enih, has affirmed her dedication to Governor Peter Mbah's administration philosophy, emphasizing the utmost importance of the well-being of children and women within the state.
Speaking at a meeting held in the Ministry of Gender Affairs Conference Hall on Friday, Mrs. Ngozi reiterated her purpose of rewriting the narrative in the state and assured her willingness to collaborate with all ministry staff members. She emphasized the need for unity among the team, encouraging them to avoid conflicts that might hinder their collective productivity.
Mrs. Ngozi expressed her mission to the ministry, focusing on improving the lives of the less privileged, particularly women and children who have suffered from neglect and abandonment. She expressed her readiness to collaborate with staff who share her passion for aligning with the current administration's governance philosophy, with the ultimate goal of achieving governmental objectives.
"In unity, we can shape Enugu State into the dream we all envision. This ministry serves as a nurturing source, and it is our duty to treat everyone with compassion and care. As you may recall, the governor has promised a departure from the ordinary. Thus, we need to change our work ethic, take ownership, and dedicate ourselves to serving the public," she said.
Mrs. Ngozi further encouraged public participation, urging citizens to continue offering their insights and suggestions. The administration is committed to implementing transparent, accountable, responsive, and flexible policies.
Responding to her statement, the Director for Administration and Supply, Dr. Mrs. Uzoamaka Okenwa Uzoechina, expressed gratitude for the leadership and affirmed the team's dedication to support the government's agenda, pledging their unwavering commitment to making the administration a success.
