Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme Successfully Carried Out Exploratory Laparotomy Surgery on Ugwuoke Peace who Suffered Ruptured Appendix, Summing up the number of Beneficiaries to 1,322 on Sunday, July 23rd 2023.

The Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, a renowned initiative providing free healthcare services to the people of Enugu State, successfully concluded its last round of surgeries on Sunday, 23rd July which marked their number of beneficiaries to rise to 1,322. The programme which holds every Sunday, Monday and Thursday for over one year and still counting, in partnership with Ajogwu Memorial Hospital, has been a beacon of hope for those in need of medical treatment without the financial burden.

The Director of the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, Dr. George Ajogwu, expressed his gratitude and appreciation towards the former governor of Enugu State, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, for initiating this vital healthcare service. Dr. Ajogwu also extended his commendations to the current Governor, Barr. Peter Mbah, and his deputy, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai. According Dr. Ajogwu, the recent humanitarian healthcare activities are in support of Peter Mbah's Administration, with the help the health centers owned by government, the services of the programme extents to more people. 

THE FATHER OF THE BENEFICIARY TESTIFIES 

The 1,322nd beneficiary of this Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, Ugwuoke Peace, a resident of Abbi. Peace had been suffering from a ruptured appendix, a serious condition that required immediate medical attention. Thanks to the programme, Peace underwent an exploratory laparotomy at no cost, receiving the necessary treatment and care for her recovery.

The Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme has been running ove a year, making a significant impact on the lives of countless citizens of Enugu State. Through this initiative, many individuals who could not afford surgical procedures otherwise were able to access high-quality medical services without any financial burden.
