Breaking! Nnamdi Kanu Orders End of SIT-AT-HOME

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has issued a handwritten order to Simon Ekpa, the Finland-based leader of the sit-at-home movement in the South East region of Nigeria. In the directive, Kanu orders Ekpa to immediately terminate the ongoing sit-at-home orders that have been causing paralysis in the region.

Kanu's special counsel, Alloy Ejimako, held a press conference in Enugu on Friday to make the hand-written order public. Ejimako disclosed that Kanu issued the directive to Ekpa on Monday, July 24, and asked him to convey the letter to Ekpa, who, so far, has not complied with the order. Therefore, Ejimako has taken it upon himself to make the announcement as instructed by Kanu in the hand-written directive.

According to the order made public by Ejimako, Nnamdi Kanu wrote: "Simon, this is a direct order from me. I hereby instruct you to desist from calling for any Sit-at-Home henceforth. Equally refrain from antagonizing Governors or persons in political positions because you are not in a position to know what they are doing on my behalf. I am ordering you to make a public announcement to the effect that you are in receipt of a direct order from me to cancel any pending Sit-at-Home in place at the moment."

Kanu further expressed his disapproval of those enforcing the sit-at-home orders without his authorization. He stated, "Anybody still engaging in Sit-at-Home is not my disciple. Haters of Biafra and mindless murderers in uniform are hiding under the cover of combating enforcers of Sit-at-Home to unleash mayhem against the same people we swore to defend."

The detained IPOB leader emphasized that the main issue that demands attention is the delays in hearing the government's appeal at the Supreme Court, and he believes that sit-at-home actions are a waste of time, resources, and energy.

Ejimako revealed that Kanu personally handed the direct order to him during a visit to the Department of State Security (DSS) headquarters in Abuja on July 24, 2023. Although Ekpa acknowledged receipt of the order via WhatsApp on July 25, 2023, he has not implemented it or made any public announcements regarding the termination of sit-at-home.

In conclusion, Alloy Ejimako, acting in accordance with his duty as counsel, has made the order public through a press statement as instructed by Nnamdi Kanu.

The sit-at-home phenomenon in the South East has had significant socio-economic implications in the region, and Kanu's directive aims to address the situation and restore normalcy to the affected areas.
