The Enugu State Government and Ski-Business Solutions Limited have joined forces to establish a Domestic Export Warehouse facility in Enugu State. High-ranking delegates from Ski-Business Solutions, led by the CEO, Onyinye Queen Okpa, recently met with the Government of Enugu State in a productive discussion chaired by the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Barr. Dr. Peter Mbah. The meeting served as an opportunity for the company to congratulate the newly elected Governor and discuss potential partnership arrangements.
During the meeting, Onyinye Okpa highlighted the objective of the partnership, stating that Enugu State will provide access roads to the proposed Domestic Export Warehouse site in Akwuke. The industrial estate at the site will serve as a hub for assembling, processing, and packaging agricultural products for export. This significant investment has the potential to generate over 30,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, thus addressing the issue of unemployment in Enugu State.
Ski-Business Solutions Ltd (Zenna First Class Domestic Export Warehouse), an indigenous company with the exclusive license from the Federal Government to operate Domestic Export Warehouse (DEW) for non-oil product exports in the entire South East Region, will spearhead the project. The company has established partnerships with operational and technical experts, including Denca Services Ltd, which boasts over 30 years of experience in Dry-Port operations.
Dr. Mrs. Pauline Obianuko, the State Director of the Raw Material Research and Development Council, emphasized the importance of collaboration between the state government and partners like Ski-Business Solutions. She noted that Enugu State is rich in untapped mineral resources, including deposits of solid minerals such as Koalinite. By working together, they can explore these resources and unlock their economic potential.
In response, Governor Barr. Dr. Peter Mbah expressed his gratitude to the Ski-Business Solutions delegates, viewing their visit and intentions for the state as a welcomed development in line with his vision for Enugu State. He stressed his commitment to promoting export trade and eradicating poverty, which are key components of his administration's agenda.
Governor Mbah revealed that the state government already had plans to improve road infrastructure across Enugu State. However, they would prioritize the construction of key roads that facilitate commercial activities and support rapid development. The Governor also extended an invitation to Onyinye Queen Okpa, the CEO of Ski-Business Solutions Limited, to be one of the keynote speakers at an upcoming Investors Forum in the state. Her presence will encourage investors to explore opportunities in export trade, domestic warehousing, and the establishment of processing plants in Enugu State.
The partnership between the Enugu State Government and Ski-Business Solutions Ltd signifies a significant step towards enhancing economic growth, job creation, and the development of the South East Region of Nigeria. With the establishment of the Domestic Export Warehouse facility, Enugu State is poised to become a major player in the export market, leveraging its abundant agricultural resources and strategic location..
