At the oil and gas sector, Dr. Mbah rose through the ranks to become the leading player. He transformed the sector into the fastest growing and most innovative economy in Nigeria, expanding its operations and improving its profitability. He has been a vocal advocate for good governance, transparency, and accountability in public service. He has also been critical of the prevailing political culture in Nigeria, which he believes is characterized by corruption, incompetence, and lack of vision.

Before Mbah's election as governor of Enugu State, the state's infrastructure was characterized by a number of challenges, a slow paced economy and a demand for the creation of more jobs. The state's economy, despite its potential, was heavily reliant on proceeds from Federal grants, which accounted for a significant portion of the state's revenue. In addition, the state's business environment was hampered by a number of factors, including poor access to credit, inadequate infrastructure, and lack of government support for small and medium sized enterprises.

Despite these challenges, Enugu State is home to a number of viable economic sectors, including agriculture, tourism and manufacturing. The state has a rich cultural heritage and is home to a number of untapped tourists attractions. In addition, the state has significant potential for agricultural development, particularly in the production of cash crops such as cocoa and palm oil.

The next four years under Mbah's administration: Dr. Peter Mbah's election as governor of Enugu State in 2023 has generated a lot of excitement and optimism among residents of the state. As a man who has an in-depth knowledge in business and economy, Mbah's emergence as governor under the PDP in the present Enugu as even gladden the heart of the people in Enugu state. Mbah's track record as a successful oil magnet and his commitment to good governance and economic development have raised expectations for his administration.

One of the key priorities for Mbah's administration is job creation. His tenure as governor of Enugu State is expected to be characterized by a number of key initiatives aimed at driving economic growth and development. One of his key priorities is the creation of jobs and the promotion of entrepreneurship. He plans to achieve this by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and investing in critical sectors such as agriculture, industry and tourism. He has also promised to tackle the state's infrastructure deficit by investing in constructing 10,000 kilometers of road networks, water supply and steady electricity.

During his campaign for the governorship of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah promised to prioritize job creation, infrastructure development, and economic empowerment. He plans to focus on the development of key sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism, and to provide incentives for private sector investments in these sectors. He has also promised to prioritize skills development and vocational training programs to equip young people with the right skills needed to take advantage of job opportunities.

In terms of infrastructure development, Mbah has promised to prioritize the construction and rehabilitation of roads, bridges, flyover to where neccessary and other critical infrastructure in the state. He has also promised to improve access to basic services such as quality healthcare, education, and clean water, and to ensure that government resources are used efficiently and transparently.

As he begins his tenure as the governor of Enugu State on 29th May, his experience and leadership style will be critical in addressing the challenges facing the state and fulfilling his campaign promises.
