Heroine Women Foundation has called on the general public, government institutions and other Humanitarian Bodies through the it's leader, Amb. Mrs Onyinye Mamah, seeking for medical support for a Nigerian who was involved in an accident and has been struggling to survive the severe injuries and negative effects of the incident on her health.
Esther Chetachi Nwokoma was Involved in a ghastly bike/motor accident on November 2nd 2021 on her way back from school, with ribs, femoral and lower limb fractures. She was unconscious for days which warranted taking her to ICU Irrua specialist hospital in Edo State. where she was wrongly intubated for 10 days hence trichotomy tube was fixed to enable her breath till date.
The ENT unit of the hospital referred her to National ENT Kaduna where she is presently undergoing treatment. The National ENT has done 4 surgeries on the trachea without positive result. Up till now there is no guarantee that the next surgery will be a success
According to the mother, they have been told in confidence that they can get medical help in India which will cost approximately 25 thousand USD. Right now this young girl cannot breath with her nose nor talk. She has spent a year and five months in the hospital and has undergone 12 consecutive surgeries unsuccessfully.
Esther is critically lying on her sick bed in National ENT Kaduna, begging well meaning Nigerians and NGOs for help to save her life.
