"Despite the historical nature of Enugu Orientation camp, ranging from its establishment by Major General Gowon, Enugu State being the  headquarters of South East Region and the political capital of the Igbo race, the camp cannot represent the pedigree of it's history. NYSC officers and corpers coming to Enugu for the first would always be filled with high hope and expectations, but sadly, their hopes would be quashed on arrival to the camp. The camp among others is the only camp in Nigeria without a parade ground, hospitable hostels, zero road network with a stoney walk way, dilapidated building and oven like hostels among other ill facilities and cannot match any other camps in the entire federation" she said
Igwe Adinde Chibueze stated that;
"the aim of National Youth Service Corps is to raise the moral tone of the Nigerian youths by giving them the opportunity to learn about higher ideals of national achievement, social and cultural improvement"
 "NYSC developes common ties among the Nigerian youths and promote national unity and integration, youth service inculcates in the youths the attitudes of mind acquired through shared experience and suitable training. which will make them more amenable to mobilisation in the national interest"
"The service also serves as an instrumentality to remove prejudices, eliminate ignorance and confirm at first hand the many similarities among Nigerians of all ethnic groups, while creating a source of encouragement for youths to eschew religious intolerance by accommodating religious differences"
"The essence of National Youth Service Corps include to develope a sense of corporate existence and common destiny of the people of Nigeria as it enables Nigerian youths acquire the spirit of self reliance by encouraging them to develop skills for self employment"
Igwe Adinde Chibueze concluded that the Nigerian youths are exposed to the modes of living of the people in different parts of Nigeria during their one year service to the nation and this requires that adequate provisions of materials and quality environment.
