April 10th has been declared as World Amokwe Victory Day by the political leader of Amokwe, Hon. Chukwuemelie Lambert Agu, EBUBECHUKWU, MD/CEO Enugu State Housing Development Corporation.
The event was a victory celebration held at his country home, Owagu-Amokwe, last Sunday 10th of April 2023. Where he paid special tributes to the unity of the four autonomous communities in Amokwe, and thier leaders for ensuring the electoral victory of all PDP candidates in the general elections as it concerns Amokwe.
The apex leader, EBUBECHUKWU conveyed a deep THANK-YOU of the Enugu State Governor-elect, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, and his deputy, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai; the Senator-elect for EnuguWest Zone, Engr. Osita Ngwu; and the State House of Assembly Member-elect for UdiSouth Constituency, Hon. Okechukwu Aneke. He further expressed his gratitude to NDI'AMOKWE for overwhelmingly voting the right candidates that would advance our community. He thereafter, dedicated the victory to the future of Amokwe.
Responding on behalf of the elected. Hon. Okechukwu Aneke was full of encomium on the personality of EBUBECHUKWU and all leaders of Amokwe, and further promised their commitments towards supporting community development programmes and human capital empowerment in greater Amokwe Ward.
Some guests who graced the victory celebration includes, Prof. Uche Ugwuanyi; Hon. Okechukwu Aneke; Ozo Emeka Odenigwe; Hon. Chijioke Onyia; High chief Engr. Hyacinth Eze; Chief Emmanuel Ezenwammadu; Chief Engr. Eustace Chime; Chief Alex Onyia; Hon. Obiora Onyia, the DG Amokwe Campaign Committee, Barr. Crownwell Chibuzor, amongst others.
Highpoint of the victory celebration was the display of the rich cultural heritage of the greater Amokwe communities, and award of educational scholarships and business grants to NDI'AMOKWE by the host. There was plenty to eat and drink accompanied by musical bliss.
