Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, fondly known as “Gburugburu,” was born on 20th March 1964 in Enugu, Nigeria. He attended St. Theresa’s College, Nsukka, and later furthered his education at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he obtained bachelor's degree and master's degree in Business Administration.
After his graduation,
Ugwuanyi became the General Manager of Premier Insurance Brokers Limited Enugu and has also been the president of the Rotary Club of Emene in Enugu State.

His political career began early 1999 until 2003 Ugwuanyi was elected to the House of Representatives to represent the good people of Igboeze North/Udenu federal Constituency and he was the chairman, House Committee on Marine Transport. Ugwuanyi was a two term Chairman of house committee on Marine Transport and had 12 years experience as law maker in national assembly. Ugwuanyi also held the position of Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Pensions where he helped enact the Pension Reform Act 2004.
In 2015, he was elected Governor of Enugu State and sworn into oath of office as the Executive Governor of Enugu State on may 29,2015. In April 9,2019 Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi was re-elected second term as Governor of Enugu State and sworn into oath of office as Executive Governor of Enugu State on May 29,2019.

SUMAS was first of it kind in Nigeria majoring in Medical and Applied Sciences.
SUMAS Igbo Eno is a project done deal and about seven hundred were matriculated Saturday last week *April 22,2023.*
As part of the state of art, SUMAS Igbo Eno have been described as first class academe edifice that is capable to address the involvements and risk of traveling too far for education.
