STATE OF THE NATION: ENDINEC PROTEST MAY END NIGERIA AS A NATION

The president of the Senate, an arm of the government which have reduced it's oversight function of the executive to prevent executive rascality to only approving foreign loans and not demanding accountability for it's use, have added a new twist to the debate on electronic transmission of election results from polling stations.

Under the watch of president of the Senate, president Buhari had serially disobeyed judicial pronouncements making a mockery to the revered temple of justice and worse refused to abide by the constitution to respect principles of federal character enacted to promote public trust and national harmony. The president swore to an oath to  protect  the  fundamental rights of citizens which include right to life, freedom of movement, right to ownership of property and right to freedom of choice of religion.

It is sad to say that the territorial integrity of Nigeria has been invaded by terrorists who the govt lack the political will to treat as invaders and use maximum force to repel them from Nigeria. These foreign terrorists who are tagged BANDITS are responsible for arson, murder, maiming, extortion and all heinous crimes within Nigeria. Sadly, the terrorists are allowed a free reign of terror within the territory of Nigeria because of ethnic consideration as they are presumed to be of Fulani ethnicity, same as president Buhari.

President Buhari repeatedly promised NIGERIANS to conduct a credible election through the INEC chairman. To achieve this, the president approved billions of naira for INEC to acquire technology, man power training and also signed into law the ELECTORAL ACT 2022 to facilitate use of Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) to eliminate vote rigging which has been singular cause of voter apathy in Nigeria. The president also went further to approve naira redesign and cashless policy to reduce vote buying by the politicians

The cashless policy and the challenge of gasoline/diesel scarcity made life unbearable for ALL Nigerians. The president assured Nigerians that the cashless policy has its merits which outweighs it's demerits. He named reduction in kidnapping as one of the merits and also retooling of campaign strategy by political parties to deal on issue advocacy while reducing mobilization of street urchins with cash to serve as political thugs. Cashless policy gave Voters opportunities to listen and interrogate the character, competence and capacity of those standing for elective offices so as to make better informed decisions at the polls

On the 25th of February, Nigerians trooped out en masse to vote their choices. Nigerians stood under harsh weather conditions for hours to go through the tortuous BVAS processing and voting . They  stood back to count the votes and also took video evidences . They rejoiced as they went home trusting that the will of the people will be respected

Today, the voters are disappointed. The party agents have asked INEC to use the BVAS machines to justify the figures they are reading out to shocked Nigerians. The citizens of Nigeria are broken hearted. They are asking the president why put NIGERIANS through hardship under cashless policy and also waste billions of naira if the integrity of the election process cannot be guaranteed through the new BVAS provided for in the electoral act 2022

It is disappointing that the INEC is facing accusations of subverting the will of the masses. The Senate president in a new twist have said ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION OF RESULTS AS ASSURED BY INEC WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ELECTORAL ACT 2022. By the statement of the president of senate, use of BVAS and the entire torture of Nigerians seems to be an exercise in futility if MANUAL TRANSMISSION OF RESULTS is acceptable

NIGERIA is at cross roads. Tempers are flaring up and protests seems inevitable as voices of dissent are increasing. Nigeria economy is like a farmer with a diseased foot who is suffering down time and now is about to face amputation of the unhealthy leg and a healthy arm

Riots destroy scarce public infrastructure and destroy lives when it takes religious or ethnic dimensions. Unity of Nigeria is on a precipice. EndSars sought police reforms at huge cost of lives and properties. EndINEC may end NIGERIA.

PRAY FOR NIGERIA. ALL IS NOT WELL
