It is indeed true that some people have attained perfection in evil, otherwise how would one explain that a couple of weeks to the Election some of our gubernatorial candidates have no manifesto, no plan, and no blue-print. All the energies have been squandered away minting lies about just one man – Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. What a terrible way to campaign!
The Opposition parties in Enugu State are like a drowning man clutching at every straw. Why not concede that it is game-over, and cross over? Some of us no longer consider Mbah and Ossai as Incomings. Not anymore! They are our Governor and Deputy Governor-in-waiting.
I will tell you why this is so.
Two weeks before the Enugu State PDP primary election that took place on May 25, 2022, I woke up with a clear message about the gubernatorial future of our Coal City State. The name Peter Mbah rang out three times in my sleep, and the eco ricocheted so powerfully that I jumped out of bed. I had never met Peter Mbah or even beheld him anywhere before. In fact, many people did not even consider him a strong contender for the ticket. His posters were sparse, dotting here and there, but nothing seemed particularly scintillating about his aspiration.
I remember calling Hon. Charles Nnaemeka Eze (Naniboi) to intimate him of what had been revealed to me. Two week later Peter Mbah was chosen as the PDP Governorship Candidate of Enugu State. Today, I don’t have the tiniest doubt that Peter Mbah and Ifeanyi Ossai are the Governor and Deputy Governor, respectively come May 2023. Every passing day reinforces my conviction that what I saw about Peter Mbah was more than a dream, it was a revelation. The Mandate is divine!
The One On High will never ask our permission to bestow his blessings. The Bible put it thus: 'And those whom he predestined he also called; and those whom he called he also justified; and those whom he justified he also glorified' (Romans 8:30).
Did anybody expect that it was going to be a smooth ride? Of course no! It was always going to be tough going. Even in our personal lives, especially for those who are spiritually vigilant, when blessings are on the way, some demonic forces will always stage a fight to try to arrest our breakthrough.
From the day he declared his intention to run for Governorship, Ndubuisi Mbah has never attacked any other candidate. He has continued to demonstrate extraordinary decency. His eyes have been on the ball. As it stands today, there is no other candidate, whose Manifesto can compare with that of Dr Ndubuisi Mbah. Whether it is about ICT, Agro-Allied Industrialisation, E-Commerce, Economy, Job Creation, Road Networking, and Security, just name them, Mbah’s blue-print is non-pareil.
Why should we gamble away our future because some starry-eyed, disused politicians are tickling our emotions with empty rhetoric? Why should their political misfortune become our collective issue? All the years they fed fat in juicy offices, did they remember us? Now, they would want us to line behind them with our bows and arrows against the enemies they manufactured for themselves. Mbanu!
Peter Mbah is the solid Rock upon which we shall construct an enviable Coal City State, and the gate of Hell shall not prevail!
Long live Enugu State!
