We are deeply saddened by the loss of Barr Oyibo Chukwu, a prominent father figure to many of us, an astute Nkanu man who was a promising candidate with a bright future ahead of him. His murder is a senseless and tragic act that has shaken our community to its core. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones and urge the authorities to do everything in their powers to bring his killers to justice.
At the same time, we are concerned about the recent attacks in our Enugu East Senatorial Zone, which threatens the safety and security of all residents, regardless of their political affiliation. The upcoming elections must be conducted in a peaceful and democratic manner, and every citizen must be allowed to exercise their right to vote without fear or intimidation.
As Nigerians head to the polls tomorrow, we urge all Nkanu youths to resist any enticement of being used as electoral thugs. Please, your future is too bright to be wasted on violence and criminality. Instead, focus your energy on positive activities that will benefit you and our beloved Nkanu nation. Remember that your actions today will determine your future tomorrow. Don't allow yourself to be used as a tool for someone else's political gain. Stand up for what is right and make a positive impact in our dear Nkanu land.
