It's gross injustice for a man from Isi-Uzo - Nsukka extraction to clinch to power after Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's tenure. Truth is a surgery. It hurts but it heals. A lie is like a painkiller. It gives instant relief, but has devastating side effects. The choice is yours. Choose wisely, as you vote Dr. Mbah as the governor of Enugu State come March 11, 2023.
This advise could not have come at a better time than now, when political campaign is in the air, particularly in Enugu State, where no fewer than 7 gubernatorial candidates are jostling to succeed Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi this year.
While Dr. Mbah, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party have been crisscrossing the 260 political wards in Enugu State, others that are largely seen on the pages of social media platforms as "not serious contenders", have as well, planted their billboards in parts of the state as only means of communicating to the electorates. Quoting Frank Fanon, a youth leader in Enugu, Mr. Desmond Okeke said: "Each generation must, out of relative obscurity, discover its mission, fulfill or betray it."
Making particular reference to the prevailing situation in Enugu State, Okeke said: "Our generation is faced with serious leadership challenge. Enugu youths, and indeed, all Ndi-Enugu, have the option to stand up now and join Mbah's candidacy to effect the required change or sit down, do nothing and resultant consequence of our collective lethargy".
I appealed to Ndi Nsukka to be fair minded now and resist the temptation of clinching perpetually to the governorship seat through the unguided ambition of Chijioke Edeoga possibly because of their fabled numerical strength". Asked to guess on whose shoulders the governorship should rest, Ndi-Enugu preferred Dr. Peter Mbah, the former Chief of Staff to the former Governor Chimaroke Nnamani, stressing that he is definitely not a neophyte.
Ndi-Enugu needs a man who is glaringly honest and has identifiable pedigree. That man is Peter Mbah. Ndi-Enugu equally want a governor who can inspire them to collectively pursue a common goal for the people and the development of the state. They want a governor whose actions will inspire them to dream more, learn more, do more and achieve more for themselves. They want a governor who has the commitment and passion and place their interests above his.
They also want a governor who will be accountable and is very ready to take a little more than his fair share of the blame and whose actions will give them all a sense of responsibility. Ndi-Enugu have seen in Dr. Mbah a governor who can establish a closer connection with the local government areas, understand their problems and equally feel their pain. They have seen in Mbah a governor that will work hard to provide to the people with the suitable solutions to the challenges facing the people. Now, the closest person, parading most, if not all these attributes, is Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, an that is why they call on all well meaning people, to rise up and ensure victory for PDP gubernatorial candidate in the March 11, 2023 governorship election in the state.
At many fora, Ndi-Enugu has been assured that the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Mbah as a man who has what it takes, both mentally and otherwise, to revive and transform Enugu from where it is today, to the Enugu of their collective desire. Mbah has already, in his blueprint, promised integrated infrastructural development and multimodal transport system. And for us, Mbah simply implied that there shall be modern infrastructural development and good road transportation system in Enugu State, beginning from May 29, when by the grace of God he becomes the governor.
Ndi-Enugu believe further that for the aspect of mass transit bus service, for instance, there is nothing in Mbah's plan that he has not experienced, experimented and implemented, during his hey days as an industrialist, entrepreneur and an uncommon transformer in the private sector where he belong. In a nutshell, the idea of integrated infrastructural development and public transportation system is a very good one on which the incoming governor will pursue as a first line charge.
Therefore, let Ndi-Enugu eligible voters in their majority go out on March 11 and vote for Dr. Peter Mbah under the PDP - umbrella logo on the ballot. This is the simplest thing Ndi-Enugu can do to guarantee a sincere provision of good quality and durable physical development. Recall that Mbah while addressing the Enugu community in different fora at a town hall engagements, he pointed out that his only motivation for running for the governorship is to ensure that Enugu is rapidly developed, even as he decried the level of unemployment among Enugu youths, which according him, was occasioned by the bad economic woes that befell the country generally due to recession, which Enugu was not exception.
Ndi-Enugu, let vote for PDP for the forthcoming governorship election on the March 11, 2023. Remember, it is just the symbol of an umbrella you will cast your votes. Then the first job is done!
