Ahead of the forthcoming general election, a group known as "Professor Jehu Onyekwere Nnaji Support Group for Dr. Peter Mbah", has begun another round of sensitization exercise on voters' education in rural communities in Enugu State.
Professor Nnaji disclosed this to newsmen on Tuesday shortly after paying courtesy call on the Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Peter Mbah in his Enugu residence.
Nnaji who was accompanied by his wife, Lady Amaka, during the visit, told reporters that he had been away from the country for official engagement, adding that his group had since been touring various communities to educate the people on the need to vote wisely during the forthcoming general election in the country.
“We will do everything within our reach to make sure credible leaders are elected. And we are optimistic that Dr. Peter Mbah will triumph at the poll.
Professor Nnaji who stepped down at the PDP governorship primary, lauded Dr. Mbah’s past track records as excellent, stressing that he knew that he would not disappoint the state.
He stated that the PDP flag-bearer had promised that his administration would declare war on poverty by attending to the needs of the people through job creation, training and upskilling of workers and adequate compensation.
The Professor of International law and Global Politics noted that Dr. Mbah has all it takes to reposition Enugu State, urging the people of the state to come out en-masse to exercise their franchise.
"Peter Mbah is currently the rave of the moment in the State. He is the man whose time has come. His competence is unprecedented as he enjoys popular support across the state.
"He remains the greatest threat to the opposition and the best gubernatorial choice of the PDP to take over the Lion Building", he concluded.
