In the life of every nation, there comes a time when the impacts made on national growth and development by citizens, investors, corporate bluechips and captains of industries whose activities in one way or the other have contributed to national growth in their areas of operation are relived and appreciated. On 6th January, 2023, the impacts of Pinnacle Oil and Gas Limited was relived at the State House when President Buhari received the Board of Directors of the firm.
One firm whose impacts are felt in the downstream oil sector is Pinnacle Oil and Gas Limited which is the market leader with over 23% market share and revenue profile. Pinnacle had come into the downstream oil business in 2008 and through strategic disruptive innovations took a lead no sooner and turned around the sector to the benefit of the nation. Pinnacle is the brain child of Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, a top-notch transcendental chief executive, with the capacity to bring about unprecedented changes that make tremendous positive impacts in his world. This he has done with Pinnacle on whose employ are over a thousand persons some of whom are expatriates.
Recall that President Buhari had recently commissioned Pinnacle Oil's storage terminal, the largest in West Africa and the deepest offshore terminal facility on the continent with the capacity to to discharge over a hundred liters of clean petroleum products within 24 hours, something that prior to now took the industry between 30 to 32 days to
deliver. By implication, apart from the provision of employment to Nigerian teeming youths, the facility has eased the traffic gridlock at Apapa area in Lagos, and has also reduced the cost of supply and delivery of petroleum products to various parts of the nation.
Therefore, President Buhari had on 6th January received with encomiums the Board of Directors of Pinnacle Oil and Gas as led by the Board Chairman, the Emir of Bichi, Nasiru Adobayero, and the Chief Executive Officer, Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, who incidentally is the governorship candidate of the PDP in Enugu State. The delegation had come to appreciate the President for his change of the face of the oil and gas industry through his administration's programmes and policies.President Buhari had received them with equal appreciation for the huge terminal that has brought about ease in the oil and gas business in Nigeria, and also reduced what would have been unbearable high cost of products, resulting from high cost of supply and delivery.
What Peter Mbah has done with Pinnacle Oil and Gas Limited is a veritable source of hope to the people of Enugu State who look forward to elect him the governor of the state in March this year. Mba's manifesto is a proposition of values that would catapult the state to unexampled economic prosperity. Mbah did it with Pinnacle; he will replicate it in Enugu State.
