At Achiagu Ward 3 which was the first point of call, the jubilant people who could not hide their feelings were so elated for the ample opportunity to interact with the representatives of their incoming governor, Barr. Peter Mbah. Their representative in the state house and their would be representatives at the national level in the near future, promises to deliver PDP in their ward 100% from top to the bottom.
Among all their major stakeholders who spoke at the campaign rally, which include the former commissioner and the secretary general Enugu state PDP 2023 campaign council, Dr. Nze Eric Oluedo (Omenanwayo). The coordinator Peter Mbah, Osita Ngwu and Anayo Onwuegbu campaign in the ward, Nze Theo Onyebueke. The PDP ward chairman, Hon. Malachy Chukwu. The youth leader, Hon. Chidera Ahanonu. The councilor, Hon. Engr. Christian Chukwuka, all made bold to say that Umumba, Mbaogu, Achiagu Ward 3 is PDP and will remain a PDP ward which will be seen on 25th February and 11th March 2023 respectively. In return, they pleaded with the candidates and the party, the PDP not to forget Achiagu Ward 3 when voted into power. They specifically mentioned that there is no secondary school in their community. That they are lacking medical equipments in their health center and prevalent high rate of unemployed graduates among their youth. These they asked to be addressed.
The candidates, both RG and Ebube Enugu and Jeff Mbah in their responses thanked the people so much for their ever support and commitment to the PDP, urging them to get their PVC and vote PDP on the election day. RG and Ebube Enugu promised to build a secondary school for them and to take care of all their concerns as a community. And the people were filled with joy the more.
When the campaign train moved to Achiagu Ward 2, the story was almost the same. The good people of Enugu Akwu came out in large number to receive their august visitors. They pledges to deliver PDP in all the polling units across their ward.
Some of their sons and daughters, critical stakeholders who spoke at the rally were grateful to PDP for the caliber of people they presented, especially the governorship and the national assembly candidates. That they are people who are tasted and trusted. Who has carved a niche in the private sector; credible candidates. They gave their word of assurance on PDP victory in Enugu Akwu, Achiagu Ward 2. They include the sagacious Rt. Hon. Dons Uzogbado, former deputy speaker Enugu state house of assembly. Their councilor, Hon. Nonso Igwe. Hon. Chijioke Uwaemenam. Hon. Alex Ilogeme among others.
Interestingly, the people through their president general (PG) presented their requests to the candidates in a written form for record purposes. And in response, the candidates who were overwhelmed by the massive turnout of the people and outpouring of love assured them that they will not let them down. That a copy of their request will also be presented to the incoming governor of our dear state, Barr. Peter Mbah. That their major road, the Enugu Akwu, Nkwo Inyi road will surely be attended to. That all they owe them being one of the largest ward in the entire Oji river LG is their vote for all the PDP candidates on the election day to ensure their victory.
One of the highlights of the rally was the gift of campaign materials and presentation of an award of excellence by one of their illustrious sons and a philanthropist, Chief Victor Chima Anyaegbudike to the incoming governor of Enugu state, Barr Peter Mbah (in absentia). Before he presented the well deserved award, he spoke at length about the character, qualification, goodwill and capacity of the man Barr. Peter Mbah. That with his business, administrative acumen and steering exploit in the private sector, network and reach, as a governor of the state, Peter Mbah will definitely do well and take Enugu state higher, hence his total support for his candidature and that of other PDP candidates. The two national assembly candidates, RG and Ebube Enugu. The chairman Oji River local government who was conspicuously present at the rally, Hon. Chinedu Onyeagba (Omex) The sitting and the incoming member of the state house of assembly, Oji river state constituency, Hon. Jeff Mbah (the Magic Mayor) also received an award of excellence.
Some other notable personalities at the rally were Obi Kama, Hon. Commissioner. Mrs Joy Odike. PDP chairman Oji River, Hon. Goddy Anikwe. The former executive chairman Oji River, Hon. Borniface Uchendu, among others.
Earlier in the day, the two national assembly candidates, RG and Ebube Enugu went to the palace of Mbaogu kingdom, HRH Igwe Godwin Madu, Igbudu na Achi, the Mbaogu 11 of Mbaogu kingdom and received a royal blessing and counsel.
It ended in praise. With the paring of Osita Ngwu and Anayo Onwuegbu Greater Enugu West is assured and with Barr. Peter Mbah, no doubt, our tomorrow is unarguably here! Vote PDP.
