News making rounds revealed that the sacked Labour Party governorship candidate, Bar. Chijioke Edeoga, whose appeal to be joined in the party’s appeal at Appeal Court was dismissed yesterday has suddenly fallen sick and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Enugu, where he was responding to treatment.
A confidant and close source to Bar. Edeoga, who pleaded anonymity revealed that before the dismissal of Edeoga's appeal, Edeoga and his supporters were so boastful and optimistic of favourable appeal judgment. That is why he has been campaigning, despite his sack by the Federal High Court, Abuja.
"The dismissal of Edeoga's appeal which has indirectly foreclosed his chances of emerging the party's governorship candidate again left him devastated, dumbfounded and sick, leading to him being rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Enugu state to be medically and psychologically stabilised.
"The remnants of Edeoga's few supporters mainly from Enugu North Senatorial zone are equally worried and downcasted over the judgment to the extent that they have not been able to convene a meeting since then.
"They have even ex-communicated themselves as panic and hopelessness take centre stage in their camp. None of the Nsukka aggrieved politicians who led Bar. Edeoga to Labour Party has spoken to him since his appeal was dismissed and he suddenly became indisposed," Edeoga's confidant disclosed.
