Going through the title to which I hereby refute by one Ikem Okuhu, a media aide, doing the beast with the back for Chijioke Edeoga, sacked governorship candidate of Labour Party in Enugu State, I shudder at the level of ineptitude that populates the Edeoga fold in the name of media aides.
Was that piece supposed to serve the purpose of rebuttal or disclaimer? If Edeoga did not issue such statement as attributed to him, would the way Ikem Okuhu went about it the right way to disclaim it, as a media aide to Chijioke Edeoga? What bunch of idiocy has Edeoga, who himself is a journalist, assembled to shrivel and grate like rodents for him? I had warned these people to move on and let me be. Since they would not harken to my warning, I am game.
I wonder why the Edeoga camp must attribute everything (and they are as numerous as sand upon seashore) written or said against him and his uninspiring candidacy, if a candidate he is, to Reuben Onyishi. I worked with Edeoga for two years and if after then he cannot decipher by style of writing, then who is to blame? I find it an egregious sign of deterioration on the part of Chijioke who had assembled a great media team of which I was a part in the past to have engaged the likes of the inept and morally- bankrupt Ikem Okuhu. Why would he go for a coterie of humdrum whose every breath is the release of insipid otiose pieces of thrash in the name of promoting Edeoga's candidacy which cowers at the brinks?
I was part of the team that brought Edeoga to political limelight. I handled his candidacy with much expertise and creativity and sold it to those who now want to mourn more than the bereaved. Where was Ikem Okuhu then? He was one of those whose mouths against Edeoga I shut with my pen. And now that I have moved on with my party, since Edeoga against his own words, having pledged his support to Peter Mbah and asked all his supporters to support Peter, betrayed us and moved to Labour Party, Edeoga and his minions wont have me be. Ikem and co came back to lick the plate and scavenge about the leftover like the vulture that they are. If the carcass of vulture were good meat, the first person would it. Ikem Okuhu and co have chosen to play at the relegated background while I have moved on to higher pedestals, communicating to the Enugu electorate the unrivalled brand promise Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the candidate of the PDP, my party, embodies.
If Edeoga wanted to disclaim a piece ascribed to him, he should have done that the right way instead of sending Ikem Okuhu, the rabid dog, picking crumbs under his dilapidated table, to call me and Nana Ogbodo names for no just cause. It really does not bother me that Okuhu calls me names. Someone who beat up his biological father, who is not on talking terms with his father, can call anyone names. If the hawk could carry the duck with spur legs let alone the chick. Ikem Okuhu has antecedents of diabolical wickedness and controversy. His efforts to poison me (details later) also failed. I am sure he is surprised I am still alive. Okuhu is belligerent, petty and irresponsible. That accounts for why he was sacked everywhere he worked. He came to Enugu Government House and was shamefully dropped as one would a hot iron, for his ways with the bottles and women of easy virtues; for his fighting everyone in the governor's media team, thinking he could depose the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Chuks Ugwuoke. Okuhu would initiate gossip and disaffection among the media team. He fought Samson Ezea; he fought Louis Amoke. But he failed and was dumped into the rueful dustbin of idiocy.
Such a filthy rag now wrapped around Edeoga's waist is a disservice to his dying political career. One wonders why Chijioke Edeoga would recruit an Ikem Okuhu to ironically put a knife on the loose string that faintly holds his political career. Only Ajija could manipulate a man to take a course that would jeopardize his own interest. That is double Jeopardy for Chijioke.
