A popular law firm in Enugu, C.C OKORO  & CO has drawn the attention of the general public on a Defamation Posts saturating the the media space by one Mr. Ewo Isaac Odinaka, the manager of Esut Gist Media against their client, Udeh Micheal Nwachukwunyere, student union president of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Agbani, demanding an immediate withdrawal of the said posts and unreserved video apology tendered to their client for character assassination emanating from the said posts on false allegation of embezzlement of public funds.

In a statement made available to FountainCare Reporters, C.C OKORO & CO has given Mr Ewo Isaac Odinaka a 7 days Ultimatum  to take down those defamatory posts or face the wrath of the law.

Statement Reads:

"OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT
STUDENTS UNION GOVERNMENT
ENUGU STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (ESUT)

It has been brought to my notice of the misleading post uploaded on social media due to the misinformation from my oppositions about “The Smarts” quiz competition winners price of N500,000 hosted by Okwuluora ndi igbo.

I will on this note explain the whole development of the N500,000 with receipts under this posts for the public and the Esut students community in general!

On the 27th of November 2022, four Esut Students namely and their mobile number: (you can call them to verify)
A) Iloh Gabriel- 08025373689
B) Utazi Chisom- 08042335232
C) Eze Paul Chigozie- 08168635067
D) Imo Joseph Essien: 09018509579
under the Student Union Government participated and won the winners price of N500,000 for “The Smarts Quiz competition” hosted by Okwuluora Ndi igbo.

On the said day 27th of November 2022, I was told to come for the cheque on behalf of the representatives, the coming Tuesday, yesterday 29th November 2022 which I did. I was given a Cheque of N500,000 yesterday 29th November 2022.

After I had collected the Cheque from Crisp TV yesterday 29th November 2022, I quickly called on all the participants to see them at evening time to deliberate what next and how. Unfortunately I couldn’t meet up with the representatives yesterday evening as scheduled with them but promised the representatives that we will see today 30th November 2022 by 10AM in the morning.

Meeting up with them today 30th November 2022, the representatives suggested the money be shared 70% to them and 30% to the SUG which is N350,000-N150,000.

After much dialogue in the absence of Eze Paul Chiagozie who went to write his exams I transferred the Sum of N350,000 and N30,000 respectively (screenshots below) to Iloh Gabriel’s account. The N30,000 transferred in addition to the N350,000 was unanimously agreed by the participants and myself to be given to the SSG(Singapore) as they advocated I send his money to them exclusive of the N350,000 which I did making it N380,000.

After an hour I had done the transfer and left for other activities, Iloh Gabriel called me and said he wants to send the N380,000 back to me after he explained displeasure from one of the participants Eze Paul Chigozie who was present at the beginning of the meeting but absent when we took the decision due to his exams as his team took full responsibility for his absence. I hurriedly sent the Students union account number to Iloh Gabriel to pay back the money to the Unions account which he immediately did  and suggested we meet on a later date for renegotiation which I agreed but the money remains in the Students Union Account.
Please do not be mislead as the money for the winners is still intact.

The General public are advised to desist and debunk such news as that amounts to Defamation of Character.

Best regards!

Comr Udeh Michael Nwachukwunyere (Micky)
(SUG PRESIDENT)"
