2023: PETER MBAH REPRESENTS THE BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR ENUGU STATE.
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu state, Dr. Peter Mbah is a true reflection of the new hope and brighter future for the people of Enugu state if elected the next governor in 2023. Over time, he has promised to work hard to justify the overwhelming support he has so far received across the state and beyond.
According to him, "I want to assure Ndi-Enugu that the future they desire for themselves and their children is the future I am totally committed to working to make real”. He knows he can count on Ndi-Enugu to collectively make this future a reality.
Dr. Mbah reiterated that he will strive at all times to be development-focused, prosperity-focused, employment and wealth creation-focused and above all, shaped by peace, security and faith in the Almighty God. He will always lean towards what Abraham Maslow calls 'The Human Side of Enterprise' which is the provision of tools that bring about wealth and prosperity.
Having underlined the unprecedented pace of developmental foundation laid for the growth of Enugu by the successive administrations including the current government in place, he believes our best way to express our collective gratitude and appreciation to what they have done so far, will be to continue from where they had done well, and take it even further, in tandem with the state development master plan.
"This is Mbah's contract with Ndi-Enugu and on his honour and with the help of God; he will work to make our state the among the top three states in Nigeria. The best years of Enugu state are not in the past, they are in her future: we have had a beautiful sliver past, may God lead us to a golden future".
The governorship hopeful urged Ndi-Enugu to vote for him during his tours to the development centres in the state on the ground of competence, stressing, "this election is beyond populism, rhetoric and vague promises but pragmatism, capacity and making hard choices. It is the choice of Ndi-Enugu to have a proven leader who has created jobs for our youths against those who only use the youths for thuggery and violence when it suits their selfish purposes.
This election is about to deepen and expand what already has been planted and turn the seeds into a healthy harvest for our people against those who wish to turn back the tide of growth, just to satisfy their egoistical desires. This election is about humility, and Godliness, and the need to respect our common humanity and govern with Christian values, against those who see power as a sense of entitlement.
Power is given to those whom God has qualified and not those who arrogantly qualify themselves. This election is a choice between those who have produced a robust and easy-to-digest economic blueprint as Mbah has done through his statement of purpose to Ndi-Enugu during the manifesto presentation on October 23, 2022 against those who only, daily talk the talk, but lack the capacity and the competence to positively affect lives in the long run. Again, if you haven't run a kiosk, you can't run a multinational.
This election is about giving our citizens a sustainable source of livelihood and not throwing crumbs at them during an election year and leaving them to wallow in extreme poverty afterwards. Running a state is not a learning process; it is not an affair based on trial and error. We cannot gamble with the destiny of about 5 million people and entrust same in unsteady and shaky hands. This is the reason Peter Mbah has to come for the divine purpose. Mbah has proven over the years to be a steady and safe hand, driven by a clear-cut vision of governance.
Dr. Mbah has commended the successive administrations in the state for laying the solid foundation for development and economic prosperity. This he has determined to further on the development trajectory. Having noted the already infrastructures in place, poised to now use the resources available to build people, attract industries, create jobs, open up our rural areas and spread prosperity to our people on the mandate of disruptive innovation. This is his standard and we cannot afford to miss it. Indeed, Tomorrow Is Here.
